Veterans know it’s no fun to have to jump in the car and make the drive to the Truman VA hospital just to get routine health care needs taken care of.
The VA’s Jeffery Hoelscher says the new Jefferson City veterans outpatient clinic opened on West Edgewood last week.
“Anytime we can keep them from having to travel to Columbia to the main hospital we want to do that.”
It’s one-third larger than the previous clinic and offers more health care services.
