Nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow performs national anthem at Mizzou opener Thursday in Columbia

A nine-time Grammy winner and Mizzou graduate who grew up in southeast Missouri’s Bootheel will be in Columbia Thursday evening to perform the national anthem at Mizzou football’s season opener.

Sheryl Crow, who grew up in rural Kennett, earned her degree in music education from Mizzou in 1984. She’s a nine-time Grammy winner and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2023.

Tonight’s game is a sellout. Kickoff is at 7 pm at Faurot field.
