NWS says severe weather is possible tonight into Saturday in central Missouri

Columbia, Jefferson City, Ashland and much of the mid-Missouri listening area could see damaging winds and severe weather tonight into Saturday morning.

National Weather Service (NWS) St. Louis meteorologist Alex Elmore tells 939 the Eagle that damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat. Those winds gusts could approach 60 miles per hour. Hail is also possible. Mr. Elmore says the tornado threat for tonight into tomorrow morning is low.
