Officer involved in shooting near Fulton school

An officer shot and injured a suspect behind a school Monday morning.

It happened near McIntire Elementary School in Fulton just before 10 a.m.

Fulton police say the officer has been put on administrative leave. The suspect was taken to the hospital.

There were no classes in session at the time.

The Highway Patrol is still investigating the incident.
