Officials with Jefferson City planning and protective services on Thursday asked for $300,000 to demolish two old downtown buildings on High Street.
A wall for one of the buildings collapsed in the summer of 2018, and damaged the building next door. Officials are trying to get the owners of the buildings to make a decision on what to do next.
The requested deadline for demolition is December 9.
