One arrest after downtown Columbia shooting

A Columbia man is in jail with no bond after a weekend downtown shooting.

Police say Chad Thomas, 30, was arrested on the east side of town after a chase early Saturday. That was not long after a man was shot several times at Tenth and Broadway and had to go to the hospital.

Thomas is looking at several charges, including unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
