A California, Mo. man is dead and two others are hurt after a semi-truck crash that closed Highway 50 for several hours Tuesday.
The Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 6 a.m. on Highway 50 near Petree Road, just east of Tipton. A semi-truck driven by Joseph Harrington was traveling east when it crossed the center line and crashed head-on with a pickup truck driven by Juan Aguado-Vasquez, 30.
Aguado-Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene. Harrington, 32, of Bevier was taken to MU Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries. A passenger in the semi-truck, Bernadette Boyd, 30, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
