Two people are hurt during one of two overnight fires in Columbia.
The victims suffered non-life threatening injuries after fire started in the kitchen of an apartment on Quail Drive near Paris and Vandiver at about 2 a.m. Monday. That fire caused about $112,000 in damage.
At roughly the same time, a home on Rosemary Lane caught fire and now has $50,000 in damage. Everyone inside that home got out safely. The fire apparently started in a second-story closet.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of both fires.
