Jury selection is underway this (Tuesday) morning at the Boone County Courthouse in a 2022 Columbia murder case.
Boone County prosecutors have charged 38-year-old Isaac Bryant with second degree murder and armed criminal action for the May 2022 shooting death of Demetrius Ware in the 800 block of Grand Avenue. Mr. Ware was shot to death.
939 the Eagle News reported in May 2022 that Bryant had been paroled from prison in September 2021, after serving four years of a seven-year sentence for second degree robbery and second degree assault.
The trial is expected to take about three days. Boone County assistant prosecutor Risa Perkins is handling the case.
