Boone County’s Office of Emergency Management director says they’re now canceling outdoor sirens this (Wednesday) morning at 11. The Columbia and Boone County areas have seen blowing snow this morning, and Boone, Audrain and Moniteau counties remain under a high wind warning.
The Boone County Office of Emergency Management is doing this out of an abundance of caution. Director Chris Kelley tells 939 the Eagle the NWS is still doing the weather radio test at 11 am. Mr. Kelley is still encouraging you to find your safe place at home, school or work at 11 am. The siren test would have been a part of the annual severe weather preparedness week.
