Parents files wrongful death lawsuit against Jefferson City landlord

A Jefferson City Couple has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against their rental property owners after their infant child was died in late September.

ABC 17 News reports Bodey and Rachel Carson filed the case Friday.

Their 5-month-old child was killed after reportedly falling onto exposed wires at the couple’s home on west Dunklin Street.

The parents claim they told the landlord about the wires. They’ve requested a jury trial.
