Columbia-area hikers and outdoor enthusiasts who use the Grindstone Nature Area on Old Highway 63 will need to park elsewhere until Saturday morning.
Columbia Parks and Recreation says the lot closed late Wednesday night and should reopen by Saturday at 8 am. Construction crews are in the nature area today doing parking lot renovations, including asphalt overlay and restriping.
Parks and Recreation encourages you to use the parking lot at Capen park until Saturday morning.
