When is $350 million only a good start? When it comes to fixing up Missouri’s bridge system, according to Gov. Parson.
“This is just the beginning,” Parson told Missourinet in Rocheport last week. “We’re going to have to keep going back to the legislature. We’re going to have to go back to the people maybe at some point.”
MoDot says work has already started on some problem bridges thanks to the bonds lawmakers approved this year. A combination of federal, state, and local tax dollars is going toward a new I-70 bridge in Rocheport. Construction will probably start in 2021.
