Governor Parson continues encouraging districts to open up schools. He did say on Wednesday each district will look different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
“We will continue to focus on the health and safety of our students, school staff, and communities as a whole as we move forward with this school year.”
Parson pointed to re-opening guidance for school districts from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, which he says was updated on Monday.
Columbia Public Schools will vote Aug. 10 on pulling back from in-person classes every day of the week, because of coronavirus concerns. Some districts in other parts of the state will be online-only for a while.
