Parson questions CDC data on Mo. vaccination rate

Governor Parson says the CDC and certain media outlets are twisting data to make it look like Missouri is worst in the country when it comes to getting people vaccinated.

“I want to assure everybody in Missouri every time we’re getting vaccine in here we’re getting it out to the health care facilities across this state and we’re putting it in people’s arms. And we’re going to continue to do that,” Parson said on KWTO in Springfield.

The National Guard helped run mass vaccination clinics all over the state last Friday. Missouri’s COVID website says on Monday morning that 6.4% of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the vaccine. The CDC’s website put that number at 5.6%, still near the bottom of the country.
