Parson touts economic growth, pushes for state employee raises in State of the State

State employee raises was one of many topics that Governor Parson brought up Wednesday during his annual State of the State address.

“The success of our state relies heavily on these public servants, and we must ensure we are able to recruit and retain quality team members to serve Missouri,” said Parson.

Parson called on the General Assembly to give state employees a 5.5 percent pay increase. Parson also asked the legislature to pour $400 million into broadband expansion, the largest single investment in state history.

The governor also said Missourians will get a lowered 5.3 percent tax rate this year, because of the state’s economic growth.
