Pedestrian dies in Highway 63 crash

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on Highway 63 in north Columbia.

Police say the driver accidentally hit 44-year-old Jason Harvey as he was standing in the middle of the driving lane near the Prathersville exit at about 6:50 a.m. Tuesday. The Lake Ozark man was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The driver, 65-year-old Samuel Holer of Moberly, has minor injuries.
