Pedestrian hit, killed in Moberly

Moberly police are still investigating a crash that killed an elderly pedestrian.

Officers say a 27-year old man was backing his pickup truck out of a private parking lot near the intersection of Highways 63 and 24 at around 12:40 p.m. Saturday. That’s when his truck accidentally hit a 68-year old man. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the names of the victim or driver yet.
