The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a major accident on I-70 caused massive traffic congestion just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Troopers say a semi crashed into some vehicles already stopped for another crash on the Missouri River Bridge near Rocheport. Four semis and a car were involved in the wreck. One person from the state of California had minor injuries, that’s it.
In less than an hour, traffic was backed up about ten miles to Columbia’s Stadium Blvd. exit.
TRAFFIC ALERT: MSHP reporting a non-injury accident on westbound I-70 at the Missouri Bridge (115 mm). Accident involves 3 to 4 passenger vehicles and 2 tractor trailers. Roadway is blocked.
