Police are investigating an armed burglary in south Columbia.
Authorities say a man broke into a home on Brookside Lane between Route K and Old Plank Road just after 4 a.m. Monday. The people in the home told police the man demanded money and property from them. There was evidence of gunshots, but no one was hurt.
The suspect was described as five feet tall, with a blue jacket and blue jeans.
