Police investigate central Columbia robbery

Police are looking for several suspects after a robbery in central Columbia.

Officers say they found a 55-year old victim with several head wounds on Seventh Street near Columbia College at around 11:45 p.m. Saturday. The victim said he was walking home after his moped died when four or five men ran up and attacked him. They allegedly took his wallet and fired a gunshot before running away. The victim was not shot.

No arrests have been reported yet.
