Columbia police investigate an assault downtown.
Officers saw a victim lying on the street at the corner of Tenth and Locust streets at about 7 p.m. Monday. He was taken to the hospital.
Authorities arrested Javonte Hand, 25, and Boyce Hamilton, 49, near Broadway and Ripley St. on second degree assault charges.
