Columbia’s city council has voted to approve a proposed new 7Brew Coffee shop on busy South Providence, along with a proposed new nine-hole disc golf course at Fairview park.

The council approved the coffee shop last (Monday) night on a 6-1 vote and the disc golf course on a 7-0 vote.

7Brew will build the new drive-through coffee shop between Raising Canes and Custom Complete Automotive on South Providence. The developer says the new 940 square foot 7Brew will also include an inside order counter for walk-up customers.

The council also voted unanimously to approve the new nine-hole disc golf course at west Columbia’s Fairview park, which is adjacent to Fairview elementary school. Columbia Parks and Recreation officials say the disc golf course will be for beginners and youth. The city already has the $15,000 dollars in funding for the project from the 2020 Fairview park/Bonnie View phase two improvement project.
