Power outages affect Mizzou, downtown Columbia

All the lights are back on in downtown Columbia and on the Mizzou campus.

An MU spokesperson says about 20 campus buildings lost power starting a little before 5 p.m. Tuesday after an issue with a substation. Ellis Library, the Student Center, and the Rec Center all closed for a little while.

Power mostly came back within an hour, but a couple dorms had to wait until about 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Two downtown traffic lights, including the one at 10th and Broadway, were also out for a couple hours.
