Power poles snap in northeast Columbia

Hundreds of customers go without power for a while in northeast Columbia.

Six power poles broke during high winds Wednesday evening along Mexico Gravel Road near Paris Road.

Boone Electric Cooperative and Columbia Water and Light share those lines. It took until early Thursday morning for crews to restore power to everyone.

More than 1,200 lost electricity at one point.
