A professor’s gift for passing down knowledge to students is a valuable thing.
So is $4 million.
Mizzou on Wednesday announced that professor Michael Budds pledged $4 million to a new center for the research and performance of American music.
Dr. Budds has taught music at Mizzou since 1982. He retired as a full-time professor this year. He was the first music scholar inducted into the Missouri Music Hall of Fame.
