Jennifer Bukowsky has had fun sharing her opinions on 93.9 the Eagle since 2012, when she started appearing as a regular weekly guest on the Gary Nolan Show.
As a criminal defense and constitutional law attorney, Jennifer has defended individuals from the government in over 1400 cases. She has won many awards, including the Missouri Bar’s David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award, the President’s Service Award from the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Distinguished Recent Alumni Award from the University of Missouri School of Law, the Director’s Award from the Missouri State Public Defenders System, the Rising Star Award at the Missouri Lawyers Weekly Women’s Justice Awards, and was named “20 Under 40” by the Columbia Business Times.
Jennifer currently practices part time at Show-Me Defenders, a not-for-profit she co-founded that handles cases pro bono on behalf of the Missouri State Public Defender.
Jennifer is active in the Republican party at the local, state and national levels. Passionate about election integrity, Jennifer serves on the Republican National Lawyers Association’s Board of Advisors and has served as a volunteer election law attorney through that organization for the past 12 years.
Jennifer serves on the Missouri Supreme Court task force on criminal justice. She previously served as an adjunct professor of law for the University of Missouri. She is a past president of both the Boone County Bar Association and the Federalist Society – Jefferson City Lawyers Chapter. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Missouri School of Law where she was Order of the Coif, on the Missouri Law Review, won first place in Mock Trial, received the Wallace Walter Prize for finishing #1 in her class after 1L year, and won eight different awards for achieving the highest grades in various courses.
Unlike Kamala Harris, Jennifer never failed the bar exam. She is also a CPA.
Jennifer lives in Columbia with her husband Brant and their two sons. Her latest obsession is pickleball.
