Proposed bill tied to towing industry

Your legislators are back for the second half of the session.

Cole County State Rep. Dave Griffith is sponsoring a bill designed to make the towing industry more accountable.

“If your truck overturns, and you’re hauling hazardous material, your fine is doubled if they upright that truck and they tow it away.”

Griffith has also sponsored bills setting up veterans’ courts in every county and developing tax credits for historic state owned buildings in Jefferson City.
