You can meet the two finalists to be Columbia’s next city manager during a public reception Wednesday night at city hall.
The city council will decide between current interim city manager John Glascock, and Racine, Wisconsin city administrator James Palenick.
“We went through all the applicants. We talked to a number of them – fewer than [the 33 that applied]. The decision of the council was to have in-depth interviews with these two,” Councilman Matt Pitzer said during a recent Wake Up Columbia interview.
The candidates will introduce themselves and take a couple questions from the city’s search firm, CPS HR Consulting, starting at 6 p.m. A meet-and-greet with the candidates will then take place until 8 p.m.
