No people were hurt after two fires just hours apart in Columbia.
Boone County investigators say a fire started at about 8 p.m. Sunday in Woodstock Trailer Court off New Haven near Highway 63 and Grindstone. A woman inside the single-wide trailer got out safely, but a puppy died. The trailer is a total loss.

Another fire started at about 1 a.m. Monday on Cavendish Court off Route VV just north of Columbia. A family of five, including an infant, got out safely.
Investigators say a bad flu pipe ignited the fire. It caused about $30,000 in damage.
