You can hear the stories of some Mid-Missouri Purple Heart recipients at the Missouri River Regional Library Thursday night.
Veterans from World War Two, Vietnam and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq will talk about their service.
Dave Hunter was wounded three times in Vietnam.
“One was a rocket-propelled grenade, another was a gunshot wound.”
Hunter, who received three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star in Vietnam, served as an enlisted Marine. He later retired as a captain.
