Quiet weekend for new virus cases; statewide positives still climb

It was a quiet weekend in terms of local coronavirus cases.

There were no new positives reported Sunday in Boone, Cole, Callaway, or Moniteau  counties. Most patients are bouncing back in those places too.

Saline County did add three new positives Sunday, and tops mid-Missouri with 202 positives. Less than half the patients there, 96, have recovered.

The state added 232 new cases of the virus Sunday, for a total of 8,386. There have been 352 confirmed deaths from COVID-19, with no change in that number in the last day. The mayor says St. Louis just had its most confirmed cases in a single day, nearly 100. Stay-at-home orders continue there.
