Registered nurse Gregg Bush wins Democrat primary in District 50

The Columbia registered nurse who said he wouldn’t vote for MU funding unless the university agreed to bargaining terms with a local labor union won his Democrat primary on Tuesday. Gregg Bush defeated Columbia attorney Jeff Basinger with 60% of the vote in house District 50 which covers much of southern and eastern Columbia. Bush will face Republican Joshua Blakeman in the November general election.
