A private lab has confirmed the human remains found in a Columbia landfill are a 99.99% match to Megan Shultz.
Detectives and solid waste workers found Shultz’s remains on Sept. 18.
Shultz’s husband, Keith Comfort, is still in jail on a second degree murder charge. Police say he admitted to Wisconsin police in August that he killed Shultz in 2006 and put her in a Columbia dumpster.
