Temperature checks and masks are sure to be in store again for state lawmakers.
“I think we saw how it worked this last time when we went there. We were all sequestered in our office, then [we] were able to go down and vote,” said Jefferson City State Representative Dave Griffith.
But Griffith said there will still be uncertainty about how much money the state will have on hand in the short term.
“The big question mark that’s out there is that people aren’t going to have to file their taxes until July 15th. We’re going to end the fiscal year without having a really good forecast of what the amount of money we’re going to have is going to be,” said Griffith.
By law, the budget needs to be passed by May 8.
