A Jefferson City lawmaker says it may soon be time to take up the issue of virus-fueled lawsuits.
Rep. Rudy Veit says the legislature may discuss this during next year’s session.
“Hospitals, nursing homes and a lot of people are going to need some type of immunity for protection from COVID lawsuits, in that simply no one knows what is a proper standard,” said Veit.
Veit also says he thinks legislators will revisit several of the Governor’s crime bills that failed during the special session. Gov. Mike Parson has already said he will be calling them back to the Capitol for a second special session to fund the newly-passed witness protection program bill.
