Jefferson City High School, Nichols Career Center and nearby Thorpe Gordon Elementary were locked down briefly Wednesday morning.
Police received a shots-fired report from a neighborhood near the schools around 8:45 a.m.
JCHS, NCC & Thorpe Gordon were on lock-down for less than 10 minutes this morning. JCPD received a report of shots fired in a nearby area. JCPD investigated the report & promptly gave school officials the all-clear.

They found nothing and the lockdown was lifted ten minutes later.
