One dies in helicopter crash near Fulton

One person is dead after a helicopter crashes in Callaway County.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at a motocross park off Bartley Lane (Route 106) about a half-mile east of the city limits.

Charles Prather, 47, of St. Peters died in the accident. He was the only person on board.

No word yet on what caused the deadly crash. The NTSB has been contacted about the crash and is responding.
