Request to throw out charge dismissed in Elledge case

A judge denies a motion from the Columbia man with a missing wife accused of hitting his one-year-old daughter.

Joseph Elledge wanted the court to dismiss a child endangerment charge against him. The judge denied that on Thursday. So, Elledge is still facing three felony charges.

Prosecutors say he’s also the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance, but they have not charged him for that yet. Mengqi Ji Elledge has been missing since last October.
