Columbia police hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new police substation named after a fallen officer.
The outdoor event celebrating the new Molly Thomas Bowden Neighborhood Policing Center is scheduled for 2 p.m. on May 12. The $7.614 million facility is on International Drive near Range Line and Brown School Road in north Columbia.
Officer Bowden was shot and killed in the line of duty in Columbia in 2005.
