The Salvation Army Columbia needs more than 2,000 volunteer bell ringers, to help raise money with its red kettle campaign.

The Salvation Army notes bell ringers with the kettles have been an essential part of funding programs for the poor and disaster relief for over 100 years. The red kettle campaign is underway, and goes until Christmas Eve.

Columbia bell ringing locations include Gerbes, Schnucks, HyVee, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Hobby Lobby, Bass Pro, Mosers, Walgreen’s and JC Penney.

Anyone who can assist can call the Salvation Army Columbia at (573) 442-3229.
