It’s not just the homeless who have a warm place to stay at the Jefferson City Salvation Army.
Lt. Chris White says even folks who live in homes with barely adequate furnaces are welcome this week .
“We want to make sure that no one in our community is cold over these next few days because we aren’t just talking about cold, we’re talking about life-threatening cold.”
The Salvation Army shelter is in what they call ‘cold cot’ mode.
They set up extra beds along with the more permanent rooms in the Center of Hope on Jefferson Street.
