Saturday night murder suspect in custody

Boone County Sheriff Deputies have a suspect in custody in the murder of 43-year-old woman from Columbia late Saturday night. Deputies say the victim was shot in the driver’s seat of her car just off Lake of the Woods Road in northeast Columbia. Isaiah N. Goins, 26, of Columbia was arrested about noon on Sunday on charges of first-degree murder. Deputies were called just before midnight and found the woman unconscious in the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff or CrimeStoppers.
