Searchers started looking in the Columbia landfill on Monday for the body of Megan Shultz.
Police say her husband, Keith Comfort, walked into a Wisconsin police station on Aug. 4 and admitted to killing her and putting her body in a dumpster on Amelia Street in 2006.
CPD detectives said on Friday they’ve narrowed the search down to a 3-4 acre area of the landfill. That landfill covers more than 100 acres, and the trash piles are 10-50 feet high.
