Callaway County on Thursday reported nine new coronavirus cases in the past week. That county has switched to weekly updates, instead of daily.
Boone County reported eight new cases of coronavirus for the second straight day. There are now 43 active cases as of Wednesday.
Columbia and Boone County health officials are warning people to monitor their health if they visited the pool at Brookside Midtown apartments on Friday. They say an infected person was there that day.

Elsewhere, Cole County reported a new case for the first time this month on Wednesday. Saline County also reported one new case.
Statewide, another 27 people have died from COVID-19, for a total of 909. State health officials attribute the higher number to a reporting delay. Another 208 statewide coronavirus cases were reported Wednesday, for a total of 16,625.
