Columbia’s city manager has announced that Columbia Utilities interim director Erin Keys will be their next Utilities director, effective Sunday.
Ms. Keys was one of three finalists for the position. The other two finalists were from out-of-state.
City manager De’Carlon Seewood says Erin’s years of experience working on various utilities will help them uphold a high level of service for the community. Ms. Keys has served as interim director of Columbia Utilities since March 2024 and has worked for the department since 1994. Erin Keys says she looks forward to continuing to support the excellent staff in the work they do to provide the various utility services to customers.
Erin Keys will replace Dave Sorrell, who retired in March after 24 years of service.
