City manager De’Carlon Seewood has announced that Rebecca Roesslet will be the next director of Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS). Ms. Roesslet, who has worked for the health department since 2003, will be sworn-in during Monday night’s city council meeting.

She’ll replace longtime health director Stephanie Browning, who will retire on Friday October 11. Browning has served as director for 25 years.

Mr. Seewood says Roesslet has proven herself as an effective and fervent leader, adding that she’s brought years of passion to her work protecting the health of Columbia/Boone County residents. Ms. Roesslet says her work at PHHS has been incredibly rewarding.
