Three locals suffered serious injuries in crashes minutes apart in two different places on Wednesday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol says Corey Skaggs’ pickup crossed the median of Highway 63 south of Moberly near Renick at 3:41 p.m., hit a car going the other way, and flipped. The 39-year-old Hallsville man was badly hurt. The car’s driver did not have any reported injuries.
Seven minutes later, at a rural intersection of Audrain County roads 924 and 989 southeast of Centralia, a pickup crashed into the passenger side of an SUV. The two people in the SUV, 23-year-old Emily Clarahan of Columbia and 24-year-old Colt Reams of Centralia, both have serious injuries. Reams was flown to the hospital. The driver of the pickup has no reported injuries.
