Several schools start temporary mask requirements Tuesday

Starting Tuesday, Columbia Public Schools will require everyone to wear a mask indoors.

The district announced last week that they will keep the temporary requirements until Friday, Feb. 4. CPS will also not hold classes this Friday, and the following Monday and Tuesday. Currently, the district has 140 positive coronavirus cases among students and 48 cases among staff.

A temporary mask requirement begins Tuesday for Jefferson City Public Schools, and Helias will start one Wednesday following a deep cleaning of the building Tuesday.
