A tornado-warned storm closed I-70 both directions for more than an hour early Friday.
The warning started a little after 4:00 a.m. for eastern Callaway County, and parts of Montgomery and Warren counties. The 60 mph wind gusts blew over a semi, and took down power lines, near MM 177 of the interstate.
A severe thunderstorm warning was triggered with the system in Cole and Osage counties a little after 3:00 a.m. That also led to a little damage, including a tree blowing over on Highway 50 in Osage County.
The National Weather Service says more severe weather is possible, into Saturday. Stay with 93.9 The Eagle on 93.9 FM and online for live radar coverage if necessary.
